Homecoming week recap!

Homecoming week was so much fun!  Carson was so into it and I love watching him have fun.  He has such a great personality.  They have a theme every day and, although I didn't capture all of them, here were some of his looks for the week....

Wednesday was the homecoming parade.  Carson was selected as homecoming royalty...2nd attendant with Makenna Naegle.

The powder puff game was that night.  Oh my word!  The guys were hilarious!  And can we all take a minute and admire Humberto's jumping skills!

And here is their half time show!  It's so great...I can't believe how much time they and the cheerleaders put into this. 

The color fest was another fun activity during the week.

The reason for it all....the football game.  We have the best student section!  And Carson is always right there in the middle of it.

The presentation of royalty at the game was cool!  I got to escort Carson out onto the field as he was announced.  Such an honor.

Saturday was the dance.  Here's Carson all ready to go...and the homemade wrist "corsage" for his date.

Trail running with the girls: High Creek Waterfall

With my foot injury, it's been a while since we've been out on a trail run, but we were finally able to go again!  This adventure took us to the waterfall up the High Creek trail. It was a beautiful day to be out.  Fall is already hitting the mountains.

Happy Birthday, Katelyn!

It's weird not being able to really celebrate with Katelyn on her birthday.  To make up for it, we had some cookies and ice cream delivered to her from a local shop in Provo.  Hopefully it made her feel loved.

Wedding dress alteration

Every once in a while I end up doing an alteration outside of the prom dress rentals.  This one was so fun I just had to share!  The dress started out with long sleeves, a little boxy, and hitting her mid calf.  I removed the sleeves, took in the bodice, and shortened the skirt.  It turned out great and she looked amazing and loved it!

We had a court of honor and Griffin earned a ton of merit badges from scout camp. Brother Lundgren is a fantastic Scout Master.  We are lucky to have him.

He also earned his Life Scout rank.  So proud of him!

Carson had a little photo shoot with his scooter.  haha, jk, he decided it was time to sell it.  He wasn't riding it as much as he thought he would and winter was coming soon and he was ready to get his money back out of it.  It was fun while it lasted!

ISU XC meet

Because Ethan is red shirting this year he does not travel with or compete with the team.  At their home meet, however, he ran "unattached" so we got to go watch him run!

The course was a tough one.  Ethan didn't do as well as he had hoped, but he has been working hard and it will pay off!  It's not easy coming back after two years without running, but he'll get there.

frog hunting

Carson and his friends have taken up frog hunting lately.  Not sure how that got started.  They go out to the Benson Marina at night.  The first night they came back with 3 or 4.

They had one out for a minute and it tried to escape.

 The next night they went again and came back with a TON!

They say they're going to cook up some frog legs one of these times.  In the end, they took them all back and let them go.

Carson's excited for homecoming!  He got his answer last night.  I always get a kick out of their creative dance ask/answers.

We had a home meet this week against Bear River.  Can't believe we're half way through the season already!

They had these cool banners made for all the seniors on the team.  They hang on the fence around the track.
