Bye Bye Luscious Locks!

At Carson's high school, they were having a fundraiser for a local charity.  One of the fundraising events was a competition between the grades....each class offered up one volunteer to have their head shaved live at the assembly if they collected the most money.  Carson was the senior class volunteer!  Everyone was pretty sure he was going to be the winner.  So before the assembly, Carson's friends were all saying goodbye to his luscious hair.

They introduced the contestants, and the voting (donations) began!

 You could "vote" in person with cash, or you could send money via venmo to vote!  I even got in on the action.

There was a LOT of activity around Carson's bucket.  We knew he was in trouble!  After a short break, the money was counted, and sure enough, Carson earned $671 of the total $1,028!  Nearly $500 more than the next closest contestant!!

Now it was time . . .

But it was a mess, so We went home and cleaned it up before he came back to school.  The first thing he said when we walked outside was how cold his head was!  haha  What a good sport.

It might take us a minute to get used to.   But it's not the first time he's had his head shaved . . . throw back to the buzz cuts of child hood. :)
