Flooding

We had some warmer temperatures and rain.  That meant lots of melting and, unfortunately, some water in the basement.  Uggg.  It's such a pain.  We have wet carpet in Carson's room and the red room that we're trying to dry out, so we've been having Carson sleep in Katelyn's room while his room is all torn up.  Hopefully we can get this under control and everything put back together soon.

Here are our outside attempts to keep the water from entering the basement. It helped a lot with water entering the basement on the south side (Carson's room).

You can't really tell in the picture, but the nerf dart and the bouncy balls are actually floating in a puddle of water.  There was a good inch or more of standing water when we first discovered the problem.

Once we got the initial mess cleaned up, water kept coming in on the north wall.  We were constantly soaking it up to keep from having too much standing water accumulate again.  The warming/melting continued for several days.  It was exhausting.
