Happy 4th of July!!

We kicked off our 4th of July celebrations with the city fireworks on the 3rd.  Still don't love that, but whatever.  We went up to a spot near the stadium to watch the fireworks, it was in a little different place than the last couple of years, because they blocked off that grass for some reason and wouldn't let anyone sit there.  When the fireworks started, we realized we couldn't even see them!  So we quickly moved to a new spot where we had a better view.  We rode our bikes up to the fireworks and it was so fast getting home!  We zipped past all the cars sitting in the traffic jam.  That was a smart move.  The only mishap was that my tire went completely flat on the ride up, but I just had to ride home anyway.  It worked.

On the morning of the 4th of July I took Carson out to the Freedom Run 15K that starts up Blacksmith Fork Canyon and ends in Hyrum.  His goal was to go under 1 hour.  It was getting close and soon his friend, Jackson Hancey, crossed the line and I thought, oh no, he's having a bad race (because he has been faster than Jackson).  He crossed JUST under 1 hour, so he did it!  Turns out he had to make a potty stop along the way or he would have been in sooner. haha.  He did great!

It was super fun to see a bunch of Hobbyjoggers running!  (Ethan's running club)

Ethan Fullmer, Kalin Freeman (Logan HS), Cameron Anderson (Logan HS), Eric Nelson (Ridgeline HS), Carson, Austin Hunt, and Hayden Ewer (Mountain Crest HS graduate)
 Hobbyjoggers dominating the awards!
not a hobbyjogger, Eric Nelson, Hayden Ewer, Austin Hunt, Jared Hunt

Grandma and Grandpa Daniels came over in the evening for a BBQ.  My brother, Mark, stopped in for a minute to visit, but he had to get back to Pocatello so couldn't stay long.  Then after dark we set off our own fireworks.  We cranked the patriotic music and it was super fun! Then after our fireworks were finished, we went up on the roof to watch all the fireworks around the valley and gaze at the stars.  It was a really nice evening.
