RAGNAR 2018

Friday/Saturday Carson and friends did Ragnar and I drove.  It was a lot of fun!  They had some really good runners and a few guys that are not, but they still did surprisingly well!

The team's goal was to run it under 24 hours and they were totally going to do it but then our last runner, Ethan Fullmer (who is one of the best runners of the group), got severely dehydrated on his final leg and was barely moving.  We were all at the finish line waiting for him to come in and the time came and went that we anticipated his arrival.  More time passed and we wondered where he could be.  When we finally saw him coming down the mountain, and he was close enough to see clearly, it was obvious that he was not ok.  He was pale and look completely out of it. After he crossed the finish line he collapsed to the ground.  We helped him up and rushed him to the medic tent.  They had to give him fluids in an IV and kept him there for quite awhile while he recovered enough to be alert and ready to walk around.  It was actually pretty scary.
