Norene continues with daily physical therapy. The changes are small but noticeable. It will still be a while before she can be independently mobile, but the strength in her left side is gradually improving. The staff at the hospital has been fantastic with her, although she doesn't love it.
I spent a bunch of time this week touring various assisted living places around the valley. We are trying to figure out what the next step will be. She is going to need therapy for quite some time and even after that, we're all a little nervous about having Blaine and Norene return to living on their own. Blaine has been struggling with his memory and feeling more and more dizzy all the time. He's not sure how much longer he can continue to care for her on his own. We're also looking into senior living options for them together with the possibility of moving out of their home.
