Christmas break has been good....but, holy cow, 7 people means lots of food and dishes. haha Katelyn and Juan have made a couple of meals for us and they were delicious. Juan just makes stuff up. It is amazing. I wish I had that skill. Here's a pic of arapes, which is like a pancake made with white corn meal and cheese, and Colombia style scrambled eggs.
We've mostly just been hanging out....and wedding planning. So fun, but also so weird. Katelyn and I went wedding dress shopping here in Logan at the ONE bridal shop we have. She found a couple she liked, but we won't be getting her favorite there, it was $1400!!!
Christmas Eve morning I went on a hike with the girls....the annual Christmas Sock Run! We went up the Smithfield Canyon single track and down the road. It was beautiful, and so fun! I got them custom socks for Christmas (that I gave them last week) and we wore them today. I am so thankful for these ladies in my life.
After Angie's Ethan took Tasha back to her house in Lehi so she could spend Christmas with her family. Katelyn, Juan, Griffin, and I went to see Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker! It was soooo good. Have I mentioned Griffin and I have been watching all of the Star Wars movies in preparation. He hadn't seen any of them. He's been converted. 😊
Christmas Eve we had our shepherd's dinner (meats and cheeses, olives, grapes, and bread) and reenacted the nativity. Katelyn and Juan were Mary and Joseph, Clint was our angel (can you see his halo?), and Griffin a wiseman. Ethan was a half-hearted participant. I was the narrator/scripture reader as usual.
The kids had a sleepover in Griffin's room.
And the present opening commenced!
I sure do love my family! So excited for our new additions too! Since Carson was gone, and Juan was spending Christmas with us, we improvised on the stocking . . .
We just hung out and enjoyed the rest of the day. We got to talk to Carson!! 💗 And had some fun with Griffin's new dominoes.
