Trail running with the girls: Birch Canyon and Jardine Juniper

I have been running with my friend, Melanie, on a pretty regular basis since November.  It is so great to have someone to run with periodically.  I don't mind running alone most of the time, but running with someone is even better!  Now that we are well into spring weather we decided to start hitting some trails around the valley and our friend, Becky, is joining us too!

The first trail run we did together was a couple of weeks ago.  We ran a 10 mile loop up Birch Canyon...where they told me about some long horns they usually run into that graze there.  Funny enough, our route look like a long horn. haha

We hit the road early to be at the trail head by about 5:30 am for this run.  To be clear, a lot of the uphill we end up hiking, not running.  It was amazing to be out on the trail in the early dawn light.  Everything was beautiful and the views from the top of the ascent were AMAZING!

Made it to the tree.....

The sun behind the clouds.... 😍

Look at that view!

Such a great trail.  10 miles out and back.  So worth it.
